For many, ChatGPT has become synonymous with generative AI. And it's not just this large language model (LLM) that is vying for users' favor; Google, Amazon, and Tesla also have AI models in the running. The problem with all of them is that the American corporations behind the applications don't care about European data protection guidelines. So anyone who regularly uses US AI and feeds it personal information might as well give Bill Gates or Elon Musk their cell phone password.

BE BRAVE AG is deliberately taking a different approach here: the Swiss company specializes in secure, data-sovereign AI solutions. With EagleGPT, BE BRAVE offers its own AI platform that provides companies with a trustworthy alternative to international providers—with a focus on Swiss hosting, transparency, and compliance.

It is therefore fitting that Apertus has now been fully integrated into EagleGPT: Apertus is an open language model from Switzerland that was developed by ETH Zurich, EPFL, and CSCS. It understands over 1,000 languages (including Swiss German and Romansh) and is completely transparent in terms of architecture and data sources. Apertus was trained with 15 trillion words (tokens).

The integration of Apertus creates enormous added value for EagleGPT users: they benefit from the usual variety of options and tasks that modern LMMs can perform, while at the same time enjoying unique transparency, multilingualism, and data protection.
